I can't find any reason for the upward move and it sounds like nobody else did? Ah well--same old Novell--here's some much needed news from the other camp: Beginning with the new TV season, viewers of some episodes will get some interactive features--"enhancements" in Microsoft jargon. The catch is that the enhancements will be accessible only to those customer in good standing with Microsoft: those who have purchased Windows 98 due on retail shelves next year. They will also need special circuitry designed and installed to Mr. Gates' specifications; he is not only promoting these enhancements but he paid for them too and it is this tight embrace by one of the world's most ruthlessly competitive companies...etc. Well, that's the gist of it; the full story is THE DIGITAL SCRAMBLE in Monday's Business at latimes.com Everybody sing now: "It's a Microsoft world...cough choke sputter..."
