I am putting no words in your mouth. I am just telling one of theories the prime proponent of the 911 conspiracy theory has said he believes. Perhaps you should considered the reliability of his mental processes.

DID the FDR Administration screw up at Pearl Harbor? Clearly. Did they deliberately provoke an attack and then knowingly and intentionally withhold information necessary to the defense of their bases, ships, and men from field commanders? That's a lot more than I'm willing to believe.

Never believe conspiracy when matters can be sufficiently explained by bungling and incompetence.

All I know is that the official explanation does not describe the evidence my eyes see.
Then perhaps you should look again. Do you think the tail of that thing in the photograph is only 12' high?

Who was Payne Stewart? What was the incident?

And, if scrambling does remain policy, where is the evidence of orders not to scramble? Why were they given? Because of a conspiracy? Or an assumption that these were US planes and therefore safe?

How many times have commercial jets missed turns and not been met by military aircraft?

This is one of the major reasons making a coverup plausible.
OK. I can agree with you on that. Administrations, regardless of political flavor, HATE to have independent investigators sniffing around when something like this happens. Particularly because it DOES appear that they should have known an attack was imminent and they blew it. Just like Pearl Harbor.
