Birth is an easy distinction [between the fetus and newborn]. All I need is a practical dividing line.... That line is no more practical that the line between you and a 70 year-old woman. It is no more practical than the line between you and a five year-old girl. No magic in the universe converts the unborn child to humaness the moment it falls from the womb. We ought not try to deceive ourselves here.
