You are implying that a condition of conscieousness is a certainty before there is even a structure for it to form with.

Not at all. Consciousness is simply a typical outgrowth of our biological identity, just as is the case with our ten fingers and just as is the case of our ability to walk on our two feet. Now think very carefully before you reject what I am about to say:

In the Grand Scheme of things, whether consciousness actually occurs is no more important than whether we actually learn to walk.

(btw I must reiterate that I personally do not believe what I am arguing here. Gotta go, but if you respond I'll see it sometime later...)
