A letter to the editor in today's Post:

Re: Mulroney criticizes 'Suck and Blow' Policy on Iraq.

While former Canadian prime minister Brian Mulroney may be unhappy with the current Canadian government's failure to support the United States in our impending military action against Iraq, I have a message for Canadians -- please don't help us.

Your vapid Prime Minster and other government officials have no credibility with the United States anymore. Your military is a paper tiger. Your moral resolve is, as usual, missing in action. Please just stay out of our way.

The United States of America will continue to guard the freedom-loving peoples of the world. The very best we can hope for from Canada is that she will just silently remain the impotent nation she has become upon the world stage, slowly sinking into the vast ocean of socialism and political correctness. If Canada is no longer the friend of freedom and democracy it once was, then the least she can do is suffer her self-destruction unobtrusively.

In short, Canada is irrelevant in world affairs now. Canadians seem to be the only ones who don't realize that.

It's bad enough that us Canadian threadsters know what's going on. It adds salt to the wound, though, when foreigners figure out that the emperor, er, prince, er, well... jester is wearing no clothes.
