<I think the high of about 800 in late sixties early seventies ???? was the end of the last secular bull and since then we have just had cyclical bull markets in gold.>

The last primary bull market started at $35 in 1970 and ended in early 1980 at $850.

One is no doubt ahead of us. It might have started. Or we may still have to revesit the lows before it started in 2004-2005. We will know before the year is over. I lean towards the idea that the bull has started. But I am not ready to claim it has just yet.

<I have always believed and still do that the strength of the dollar determines the price of gold and we are going into a long term period of a very weak dollar.>

This period will be remembered as the "flight from the US dollar".
