IRAQ could one day become as large an oil producer as Saudi Arabia according to some.. Could you imagine what threat IRAQ would pose to the US then? good a reason as any to take em out now I guess...


well the oil reserves in Iraq have yet to be really accurately measured , and is huge .... it is very close to the surface for easy removal, which makes it possible to price Russia right out of the picture ala New York -->minute.

Saddam didn't blink sinking $500Bil into the Iran war , which Iran drained away almost the same. With the amounts of money we give away , we really don't need enemies at all, though!<g>

anyways , a liberated & democratic Iraq will probably mean cheaper oil in the future eventually after an initial spike and settling back down in months to drop lower than is here depending on how little damage is done to the fields over there , and the speed of rebuilding and upgrading infra-structure takes place.
