Disagree re: Rummy. I don’t think the man says anything that doesn’t fit the design. He needed to piss off and discombobulate the Euros. Just think about it – a few weeks ago the US was supposedly “all alone” – and today, if anything, it is France and Germany who are more like the odd man out. I think this was rather incredible diplomatic footwork by the Administration. You may agree with their goals or you may not, but they did pull off something very impressive.
