I saw a funny somewhere that we were going to launch the invasion of Iraq at Normandy and move across France as a practice session. Quite humorous:)

I was laid over in Paris in the early 80's with 4 other guys on our way back to Norfolk. We ate at a restaurant just down from the hotel we were at. Late in the meal we had 3 dicks about our age come over and start giving us shit but they were doing it in French and being a typical American I don't speak French. Anyhow this older guy comes over and shags the punks away and sits down with us and ends up buying our dinners and drinks. We tried to refuse his offer and he said, "These young are foolish and have no remembrance of what you American soldiers did for us," and he rolled up his sleeve to show a number tattooed up his arm and said, " I remember and will never forget."

It is the only fond memory I have of that country. And there are way to many of those little smart mouth pieces of shit that have no memory of their own history.
