I'm not sure of the answer, but my guess would be that this would be "indirect" because the shares are not held directly by the reporting person. Depending on the terms of the trust, the reporting person in addition would or would not disclaim beneficial ownership. (For a living trust, likely he/she would not disclaim beneficial ownership).
