You scattered examples are both on other topics and wrong.

We do not let people decide for themselves about committing infanticide, once the child is born, regardless of rationale.
We do allow the cessation of efforts to keep bodies alive once the mind is gone at any age. How many mothers are prosecuted when their anencephaly aflicted baby dies?

We do not let thieves get away scot free because they might not otherwise have gotten to send their children to Harvard.
You are generally not allowed to shoot a thief, even if he gets away. Besides, they let Junior go scott free, in fact it was Harvard that helped bail him out.

The only issue is where the right to control one's body ends
It ends when the growth is no longer part of one's body.
