That appears at least partially why Germany and France are leading the opposition. Another reason is, France and Germany, have an even greater dependency percentage wise, on foreign oil, as well as the profits to be made by selling oil and military equipment. Plus, by keeping the US the target, they might be able to escape the brunt of the damage.

This is such crap......if Bush proposed annexing Hell you find a reason to go along with it. Germany and France are doing what they're doing because they can. Since the demise of Soviet Russia, they no longer are dependent on us for military support. Furthermore, they have said repeatedly they are more concerned with OBL than Saddam, and Bush refused to listen but rather wanted to dictate to them how it was.. They also have to be careful because they have sizeable Muslim populations within their borders. None of this has Bush been willing to hear.

In any case, you all sound like the guy who has no friends and blames his troubles on everyone else but himself. Well, you need to start looking at what we're doing wrong and stop trying to blame Clinton or Carter or the Dems or Germany or France or Saddam or whomever you can come up with for our troubles. Mr. Bush has gotten us into a mess and he best get us out of it while taking a crash course on international diplomacy.

Its too bad..........Clinton made it look too easy.
