Denial is right....

As to how fast we improve.... I am not sure we will be in a fast recovery... debt needs to be cleansed, which means we would need a stronger economic activity, this could lead to higher rates and there could be consequences... (Then again... The Fed could delay the increase in rates).

I did not believe it before... but we could run into a Japan scenario of taking years to fix... then again the imagination of entrepreneurs here could make a difference.

Who knows... my take is, this bear market will drag for a few years.

LOL Chess... No back row ... ---> what are you talking about... they are full of kings and queens over there...on the other hand they are all useless, so your point is quite accurate...

At times I think the Europeans are trying to go back to the crusades where all the Christian kings were fighting the "infidel moors" -lol how ironic that the Arabs are now calling the rest of the world "infidels”.

I agree with you as far as Europe goes... their collectivist societies have absolutely no chance in face of the challenges from China/South East Asia... The one thing I would still bet on the US is the entrepreneurial spirit... but we need to get off our arses and quit playing the imperialist game... This Asian challenge is for real.

Finally... I now give more weight to gold regaining its former sheen as "store of value/protection" and commodities... food growers in particular it will be an important place to be...

Btw. I think that a chain of either Mexican or Argentinean restaurants, (the real thing, not taco hell style garbage) in China would be a good bet. –at least an improved (by a lot) of a taco hell deal.
