POLL FOR THE BOARD

For several weeks now there has been much discussion about whether the market will rally whenever a US military strike on Iraq actually happens. Proponents of such a rally point to the market rally that occurred in January 1991 during Operation Desert Strike. People who feel there will not be such a rally point to dissimilarities to that time period, including those in the piece below.

Here are the questions for the poll

A. Will there be a rally* upon a US military strike on Iraq? (yes or no only)

B. If you answered yes to part A above, how long do you anticipate the rally to last? (weeks or months only)

I will tabulate the results and present them Saturday by 6:00 p.m.

*Definition: For the purpose of this poll the word "rally" means a rise of 10% or more on Dow.
