Mencken _____________________ there are many other clarifying agents that are used in the process... animal blood not only it is prohibited in France, (I am not 100% sure of this but I would bet on it), but it is hard to keep fresh... so unpractical given the alternatives... and in an industrial production, the alternatives are far easier to use and probably less expensive in the cheaper wines... filtration is used, but a lot of the flavor is lost using this method. There are many finning agents... some are here... makewine.com Again... do I disagree to the French and German stances... YES... But... This is what I hate about politicians.... they lie through their teeth and they think we do not know it... unfortunately there are many .... who believe them. btw.... one of the most delicious things of Argentinean food (and other parts of the world) is BLOOD sausage... delicious ! wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I need no stinking politician telling me what I should eat or drink, or not, or a stupid label telling me "alcohol may impair me in driving machines blah blah blah... DUH !
