Say Kirk, You see the virtual pets message board on virtual pets? It is in the AOL Kids section and kids post invitations to email and write opinions and inquiries about their virtual pets. There is a raging debate as to which ones "rule" and which ones "suck."

While I did not read all 484 posts and I am somewhat biased, it seemed to me that the Bandai Tomagotchis win because they are the originals and the "best." It is not a real overwhelming preference. As you point out, there is more interest in getting one than which one you get.

I am happy about todays' price rise to 6 but I am worried about getting enough production to get product to markets that are starting to get covered by the competition.

I wish the Company had better PR to the kids and to the investing public to distinguish themselves from the rest.

Another interesting point about the kids thread is that it filled up with close to 500 posts in about a week. In comparison, this thread has just over 100 in almost 4 months. In addition, the kids board is "filled up" and they won't accept any more posts so you can't tell how many posts there could be.
