If bin Laden is actually dead, what are we to make of Powell and the war marketing team trumpeting the bogus tape as a causus belli[sic]? A convenient fabrication, perhaps? Not that that would be Orwellian or anything . . . Cheesy, indeed. As far as I know, neither Powell nor anyone in the Administration has taken the position that OBL is dead, but if you want to saddle Powell with that notion so as to be able to deliver cheese, be my guest. So the tape is bogus, huh? Why don't you enlighten us why? A bit of evidence will do, it surely is an interesting topic. Orwellian? Yes, I agree. Quite.
