Clinton talked at length about Iraq. He didn't like Saddam and would like to see him gone. He kept saying "remember the big picture" - interdependance. Saddam is not worth losing France, and Germany, and Russia, and China over. That is missing the whole reason and point for getting rid of him, which is security. Give Blix the time he asks for and together the world community can find a way to move Saddam out that won't drive a double wedge, one wedge between the poor countries who will assume it all about oil and conquest, and the other between western countries who can both counter that sentiment and help finance whatever solution is found. These are proud and indepandant nations and when Bush makes his "my way or the highway" speeches they choose the highway (and look for a big rock in case the opportunity arises to use it).
