Go to a news blackout and the market would be no different. This would have happened anyway. It's how bubbles unwind. Believe otherwise, and you risk having your head handed to you in this market, IMO.

It's the endless circle of hope that needs to be crushed.

...The market is down because of 9-11
...The market is down because of the election of 2000.
...The market is down because of the war in Afghanistan
...The market is down because of the war on terror
...The market is down due to fears of North Korean Nukes
...The market is down because of fears of conflict with Iraq

I used to feel sorry for people who've been losing their money in this market, but I'm starting to believe they've had plenty of time to get out, and anyone who hasn't gotten out by now deserves whatever they get.

The truth is, the market is down because we're unwinding a once in 72-year bubble. Once people deal with that, they'll be on the right side of the market at least.

If someone was a moron, all they'd have to do is wait for Warren Buffet to buy into this market again. When he says it's fair value, it's fair value.
