No I don't remember. I didn't know of you until recently. I haven't had much luck with the SI search of late. It used to be better.

"and one of them certainly is that NK has had the ability to send "stuff" over here for several years. PLUS, one now wonders WHAT other countries are buying their WMD...Iraq couldn't do it legally....my guess is that that didn't stop him." I share these concerns. Today I read that NKorea has the capability of hitting the west coast where both of us live.

Did you happen to see Powell's testimony to Congress this am? There were some sycophants, some detractors as well as proponents. It was certainly amazing to watch history unfold as these men decide our fates.

Let me tell you about one impassioned Congressman, Wexler of Florida. He was lamenting the fact that his citizenry in Florida, specifically he said, Vietnam and WWII veterans were buying up duct tape and plastic sheeting to tape up one room in their homes to be used as the "safe" room in case of bioterrorist attacks. Wexler said his constituents are alarmed that they are being advised to do this and as former defenders for this country they don't like feeling like helpless victims. Wexler asked Powell about "blowback", we attack Iraq we can expect retaliation. Powell said that as bad as things are now, they will be worse when we attack Iraq that is to be expected!!!?? But that in the meantime people should just go ahead and live their lives and not worry. This is of grave concern to me!!!

"In the last five years, North Korea's missile capabilities have improved dramatically. North Korea has produced, deployed and exported missiles to Iran and Pakistan, launched a three-stage missile (Taepo Dong 1), and continues to develop a larger and more powerful missile (Taepo Dong 2). Unlike five years ago, North Korea can now strike the United States with a missile that could deliver high explosive, chemical, biological, or possibly nuclear weapons. Currently, the United States is unable to defend against this threat."

Currently, the US is unable to defend against this threat? They're aiming at us. I thought I'd read that we have anti-missile capability.

Thanks for finding that information and posting it, though now I think I feel worse.
