As I look at the threat of Nuke Tipped Korean Missiles now being able to reach the mainland,(and, God help me, Pearl Harbor,) I am reminded about how the "Clinton Folk" dealt with the Anti-Ballistic missile defense bill in 98, that would have given us a starter system by this year. Clinton vetoed it.

I don't recall the intricate details here but I thought he threw the proverbial bone and put a bit of money on it. If he didn't veto it, he certainly should have. What did Bush, the father, call Reagan's proposed tax policies, voodoo economics. The missile defense program is voodoo missile defense.

Rumsfeld told the Senate Foreign Relations committee this morning that we are living in the most dangerous time in the History of the country. We are living in a "High Alert" situation and pussyfooting around about whither we should use every possible means to solve this situation.

Nothing like a bit of hyperbole. That sounds like the beginning of an argument for Poindexter's stuff.

Do you all want to spend the rest of your lives living in a "High Alert?" We will, unless we make a commitment to clean out the Middle East.

"Clean out the Middle East." Slow down, take a deep breath. The problem is Al Q and its compatriots. We should be focusing on the stick of how to get rid of them and the carrot of how to shut off their recruitment. Instead of losing our focus.

Here I go again. I start typing these responses with the aim of sitting down for an hour at most. Then look at the clock and it's 2:30. Ouch.
