1st.mate,

we did not exclude non-US residents from this contest because we do not value their participation and predictions but because of the steep cost of complying with national laws. In fact, some of the best customers we have are from abroad.

Unfortunately, governments around the world, in an attempt (we think misplaced) to "protect" their citizens have established laws regulating contests and prize winning. The result is a maze of laws and regulations that lead many smaller US companies to limit the participation to US residents. Not that US is much better, either. You increase the value of the prizes or provide cash prizes and suddenly you see different rules state by state.

We do not check nationality of the contest participants, but to stay clear of potential legal implications, we need to explicitly state that non-US residents cannot take part. We also cannot award them the prizes if they win.
(Just to avoid any misunderstanding, this limitation does not apply to membership in AllPredictive service, where anybody in the world can register and become a member, only to this contest.)

Thank you for your understanding.

Peter Braun, AllPredictive
