RFI stock promoters have made much of the fact that Hankuk glass (Korea) demonstrated an SPD sunroof two years ago. Since then, Hankuk has failed to commercialize the product. In the meantime, Mercedes Benz recently demonstrated a working electrochrmoic sunroof and plans to offer it on several car models. SPD technology has several problems associated with it. Odd power requirements, susceptibility to heat and poor transmittance range are just the beginning. Oh Bill, did you say you could buy EC roofs on SEVERAL models of Mercedes. The only one MB you can buy one of those EC roofs is the Maybach selling for only 360K and that roof had to be broken into tiny panels. Unlike these large SPD sunroofs Mercedes has on buses.
