A lot of people are "on" to Wexler.

Here's his famous claim of why SPD won't compete. Hey Bill, show us all the EC products that are going to wipe out REFR. After MORE years than REFR has worked on getting their film into windows, EC companies are STILL in the lab phase. What gives?

Details of the REFR stock fraud....part 3
The following is excerpted from Dr. Carl Lampert's recent paper:

[...Electrochromics are favored for many applications because when they switch they remain specular and non-scattering. This means they can be used for the widest variety of applications. They can be easily powered because of their low voltage. Electrochromics have been commercialized for automotive mirrors. Fairly large windows have been fabricated and installed in buildings by both Pilkington/Flabeg and Asahi Glass...]

There is no doubt that there is a massive amount of momentum behind electrochromic technology. In its 35 year history, RFI has failed to commercialize a single product. There are problems associated with ALL switchable glazings (production costs, durability, etc.) but there is no doubt that electrochromic products have already established themselves in the marketplace and enjoy wide patent protection.

RFI stock promoters have made much of the fact that Hankuk glass (Korea) demonstrated an SPD sunroof two years ago. Since then, Hankuk has failed to commercialize the product. In the meantime, Mercedes Benz recently demonstrated a working electrochrmoic sunroof and plans to offer it on several car models.

SPD technology has several problems associated with it. Odd power requirements, susceptibility to heat and poor transmittance range are just the beginning.

Oh Bill, did you say you could buy EC roofs on SEVERAL models of Mercedes. The only one MB you can buy one of those EC roofs is the Maybach selling for only 360K and that roof had to be broken into tiny panels. Unlike these large SPD sunroofs Mercedes has on buses. Don't think MB is going with EC for "several" models. But look at the 6 beautiful large SPD sunroofs on this bus.
