Rummy has been around Washington for over 35 years, and the man never engages his mouth before turning on his brain. This remark was deliberate.

I don't think anyone is accusing Rumsfeld of being dumb; rather of being wrong, of helping to make the work of gathering allies much more difficult than it would otherwise be.

Things would be going a lot easier if the media was not fighting what we are doing. But if you are on the right, and running the country, you have to take your lumps.

Bill, you've been in Hawaii much too long. Come back to the states. The Bush folk now have their own network, Fox; have the portion of CNN that wants an invasion to up its ad revenues; the Lehrer Hour never gets to the left of tek which is hardly left. Complaining about the liberal media just won't cut it.
