It has nothing to do with trust and everything to do with the fact that Saddam has a long history of making bad decisions. While I've previously been hopeful, realistically I don't think anyone thinks Saddam is going to behave, and I certainly don't think Bush is going to turn tail and run from a third-rate dictator.


I disagree with you. I think it was always Bush's plan to depose Saddam no matter what he said publicly and no matter how much Saddam cooperated. And that is a very important point......it's in part why he's being stonewalled in the UN.
