I think it was always Bush's plan to depose Saddam no matter what he said publicly and no matter how much Saddam cooperated.

I don't know that we disagree about this. The stated objective of the administration has been regime change, and of the previous administration as well.

It is also well documented that shortly after 9/11 Bush & his Cabinet agreed that no war against terrorism could be successful without removing Saddam. That is not to say that Saddam couldn't have behaved differently to avoid his being deposed.

Furthermore, during the campaign Bush was clear that he intended to correct the major blunder of the previous administration is allowing the inspections to be stopped. I'm certain that on reflection they've concluded why in the hell get reinvolved in Iraq without the intent to remove him?

You never have explained why you supported his removal in '91 but you're opposed to it now. More hypocrisy.
