The goal is fully-deployed military and fully-taxed and fully-controlled US population. The best way for Americans to put things into perspective is to imagine the TV as a split-screen -- every time the chickenhawks and talking heads calmly list their lies for attack on one side, the other side of the screen should show films of bombings and flying body parts of innocent women and children that will result. Since Vietnam the media has been completely hamstrung in its attempt to show Americans the reality of their tax dollars at work. Kristol today actually said the US has been insufficiently violent in its foreign policy.
