<<<<<<<<<<<The Very positive media sentiment towards GOLD - Gold is NOT a secret here any longer folks....>>>>>>>>>>

maybe and maybe not. People are not putting their money where their mouth is then if your sentiment analysis of gold is correct...a conflicting viewpoint via Schaeffer, who sees heightened and undue pessimism in the gold sector, despite good gains in gold over last year…….

"What's even more startling is that total asset growth in gold mutual funds rose by only 30.9 percent from $4.7 billion in 2001 to $6.1 billion in 2002. In essence, asset appreciation (and not the addition of new dollars) was the overwhelming contributor to the growth in these fund assets. With asset growth significantly trailing the average gold mutual fund return, cash inflows into gold funds were minute. In contrast, the average technology fund surrendered 43 percent in 2002, yet annual growth in assets decreased only 27.3 percent, indicating that investors continued to pour money into these funds."

whole article follows (good IMO, sorry if already posted)
