Plus 5 billion in aid packages and collecting rents for use of the bases. Such a super sweet deal and great for the booming Pak economy. Wonder where some of that money goes while cycling through the system? I would not be surprised if donations to the madrasses is going through the roof too. Musharraf can and should do a little bit more to flush out Al Qaedas, but it is such difficult undertaking. Wonder why the India-Pak tension over Kashmir is hardly news story anymore? I always thought it was a game they play to get more U$ dollars. Record bumper crop of opium in Afghanistan in 2002.
