CNN "Hours before the reports were due to be heard, Iraqi President Saddam Hussein issued a proclamation banning the importation or production of weapons of mass destruction."

Bill,
Saddam must look awfully weak to the Arab street. We know this all is rope a dope. I can still remember how Mohammed Ali eventually won that fight, so saddam continues to be dangerous regardless of his "concessions".
But one would think that his prestige has fallen with his supporters in the arab world, much like Ali's did in the early rounds of the Foreman fight. So its the odd case of saddam backing down further in fear of an american assault which we know to be rope a dope but the great unwashed probably dont. Just thinking out loud here Bill. mike
