The events of WWII gave the final push to the creation of Israel.If u justify the need for a Palestinian state u can not deny the need for a "Jewish home land".The old land of Israel was the logical location (I am not getting now into an argument about the boarders),Jews had a better claim on the land than the Palestinians (not arguing here either).
Once Israel became a state the U.S had to maintain it due to the deep control the USSR had on the Arab world.
This is a "what came 1st scenario,the chicken or the egg",Arabs "giving" themselves to the Russian because of US support of Israel or vise versa.
But blaming the 9/11 on American support for Israel is an insult to any inteligent person.There is much more involved here than just Israeli/Palestinian conflict,that conflict is just a "side dish".
