18 months after Sue had her first knee surgery, two weeks in the hospital and 3 months in bed, she was back to a cane and walker. A second scope surgery done by another Surgeon showed one meniscus was buried in bone and the other missing. He fixed the one and made a new meniscus to replace the missing one. In at 8 and home at noon with only an ice bag needed for pain. The next day she was walking the dogs. I have no idea what a meniscus is but they must be pretty important. Sue's mother had her knee replaced when she was 60. She was walking the next day. That was about a 3 day stay. It used to be they'd last about 15 years, no idea about how long they last now.
