I guess the point I was trying to make is that it could elongate this recession. People seem quite convinced that a war with Iraq is whats holding back the market. I'm not so sure I agree with that view. I think the "pending" war with Iraq may in fact be what positions us for capitulation. If that happens and we rebound it wont be because the economy has improved but rather perception has. War may just hasten what we all know is needed which is a bloodbath in this market
