Carlos,

From what I was able to read, CompactFlash is certainly in as they talk about PCMCIA Flash Memory. See Intel's web site intel.com

"Flash Translation Layer
A PC compatible file system is important for Flash Memory card reader devices. A PC compatible file system allows the Flash Memory card reader, whether it is a standalone device or integrated within another peripheral, to appear as a standard mass storage device to the Windows file system.
Applications can access images on the Flash Memory device just as they would access the system hard disk drive. Flash Translation Layer is part of the PCMCIA standard for PC Cards and provides this level of interoperability."

They also go on to mention " For example, Intel's Flash Miniature Card is a potential electronic film solution." We already know that Compact Flash is the current and future defacto solution for memory storage being supported by Kodak and virtually every camera company on the planet. Nothing I read says that CompactFlash is out but rather everything I read indicated that CompactFlash is really in big time! Of course you wouldn't expect Intel to promote somebody else's technology on their site, would you?

Mauro.
