Ted, <Hometown advantage.......> If you want to keep score, Americans have always lost much fewer lives than the other side in wars not on American soil. Even "Black Hawk Down" was terribly lopsided in favor of Americans, though we mourn more for the handful of Americans killed than the thousand or so Somalis who got killed too. People tend to fight harder when they are protecting their homeland......and they usually are more familiar with the terrain and the infrastructure. That's what I meant by the hometown advantage. ted
