Wow ... that "pivot point" stuff really works.

Check this out:

I am open minded and I have viewed FSTW as a classic canslim stock. But holding to O'Neil's philosophy, I must sell if the stock drops 8% below the pivot point. Given the pivot point of $16.65 + 10 cents=$16.75, I put a stop in at $15.41 and got executed at $15.25.

I wonder how many of that broker-on-the-Yahoo-thread's clients followed the 8% rule and sold on the way down from the "pivot point". The guy who posted the above message saved himself 5 bux per share. Five bux is about 50% of the current value of the stock. Good thing he followed the rule.

Maybe all those clients relied on the price decrease being a "Breakout Shakeout" and bought more stock as the price eroded.
