Most muslims do not understand the difference we tend to make between normal muslims and radical muslims.

The ones in this country had better learn and understand it, and articulate their total rejection of it. If they don't, they are going to get tarred with the same brush. If we get any more attacks here, and this is not done, the rejection you are feeling is going to get much worse.

"A moderate muslim is one who publicly rejects the radical viewpoint." That definition is going to get more and more important, IMO. You see, the most Americans do not understand the differences we use here between moderate and radical either.
