Disclaimer: The below mentioned energy trust transactions do not reflect any negative sentiment regarding them. As I have mentioned in the past, energy trusts do not fit into my model portfolios.

Meota Resources

Provident Energy Trust (PVE.UN) acquired Meota Resources (MRZ) in October of 2002. As a result, the portfolio inherited 415 trust units, replacing the Meota position.

The 415 units were sold Friday at a price of $11.30 for gross proceeds of $4,689.50. Cash payment distributions has amounted to $0.76 over the interim term, amounting to $315.40.

Total proceeds of $5,004.90 has been added to the cash position of the portfolio.

Vermilion Resources
Position 1200 Shares

Vermilion Resources (VRM)has reorganized into Vermilion Energy Trust. The portfolio has inherited 1200 shares of Vermilion Energy Trust, replacing the common share position.

In addition, the portfolio inherited 400 shares of Clear Energy which was a spinoff of the reorganization. These shares will be transferred into my TIER III Portfolio and will be be carried as an initial investment of $00.00.

Effective today, the 1200 shares of Vermilion Energy Trust have been sold at a share price of $12.10 amounting to total proceeds of $14,520.00. The proceeds will be added to the cash component of the portfolio.
