ARM Wins Microprocessor Report Analysts' Choice Award

WHAT: The ARM1136JF-S™ embedded processor core has been selected as winner of the 2002 Microprocessor Report Analysts' Choice Award in the Embedded IP Processors category. Analysts' Choice Award winners were announced at a dinner presentation on February 13, 2003, in San Jose, CA.

The ARM1136JF-S™ core was one of six nominees in the Embedded IP Processors category. Nominations were based on the cores' ability to run applications, consume little power, occupy a small amount of die area and the ease of implementation. The ARM1136JF-S core is a synthesizable design featuring a high-performance 8-stage pipeline with a high-bandwidth memory system. The ARM1136JF-S core includes integrated floating-point and DMA (Direct Memory Access) capability and will run at over 400 MHz in a 0.13 micron silicon process while consuming less than 0.4 mW/MHz of power.

WHO: ARM [(LSE: ARM); (Nasdaq: ARMHY)] is the industry's leading provider of 16/32-bit embedded RISC microprocessor solutions. The company licenses its high-performance, low-cost, power-efficient RISC processors, peripherals, and system-chip designs to leading international electronics companies.
