The man with the charge of UN 1441, in his most recent report to the Security Council Ministers Meeting, held yesterday, clearly noted that Iraq was not in non-compliance, that the inspections were working and more time was needed. The beauty of Resolution 1441 is that it allows for more time.
After the report was delivered, only the US, only the US and Great Britain, and to a lesser extent, Spain, were less than satisfied. The remaining members each made remarks calling for continuation of the inspections.
Didn't you see anything yesterday relative to the meetings?
Oh, and Vitas, since you've annointed yourself as the grand inquisitor on this thread, let me turn this around a bit and ask you a question: Have you seen Russia's refutation to Powell's intelligence briefing? If so, what are your comments? |
