It is highly unlikely that Saddam will provide any pretext for us to intervene militarily.

Besides, it is now a starving country with a GDP of less than $10 billion compared to $10,000 billion of our own. About 180 children die everyday due to the effects of the last war. Many of the children are stunted due to malnutrition. Around 40% cannot afford to go to school. It's a dying country.

Besides, Iraq's neighbors don't perceive it as a threat. So why do we?

Maybe it's the $5 trillion in the ground that threatens our moral courage.
