Hi Lee, The 8 firms I`ve been with were before the internet online services. I`ve been with Brown & Co. for 6 years without any serious problems and found that they seem to work the best for me. I would avoid any firm that are market makers or that recomend stocks. The market makers will rob you of the spread and the firms that recomend stocks are selling you stock out of their own inventory that they bought at a lower price and know that the stock is going down. One firm that operates like this is Olde Discount. I was a manager with them.
