>>We do not care what the world thinks.<<

Who are you referring to: the 18 European nations who have officially backed the US, or the 3 members of the "Axis of Weasels"?

Who's example is it that is most recommended to us: the Belgian "Let's amputate them all" butchers of the Congo, the hypocrite Jaques "My proudest accomplishment as foreign minister was building Iraq a nuclear reactor" Chirac, the jew-baiting terrorist Joschka " I supported the Red Army and PFLP" Fischer, or the former chairman of the Young Socialists, Gerhardt "I'll sue you for saying I dye my hair" Schroeder?

Just who is Germany's Foreign Minister?
jewishworldreview.com

Mr. Fischer, you rose in public life as an important figure in the anti-American, anti-liberal, neo-Marxist, revolution-minded German radical left of the generation of 1968. .. You were not a terrorist yourself, but you were a good and active friend to terrorists, weren't you, Mr. Fischer?

..In 2001 the German government put on trial your old friend Hans-Joachim Klein, who had been an underground "soldier" in the Revolutionary Cells, an ally of the Red Army Faction and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. The Revolutionary Cells helped in the murder of the Israeli Olympic athletes in Munich in 1972, and Klein himself took part in a 1975 joint assassination operation with Carlos the Jackal in which three were killed.

During your testimony at Klein's trial, you were accused of having harbored Red Army Faction members in your Revolutionary Struggle house, the Frankfurt center for the group Revolutionary Struggle, which you co-founded with housemate Daniel "Danny the Red" Cohn-Bendit. You were forced to admit there was some truth in the accusation... (After your testimony, you shook hands with your old terrorist friend Klein. Sweet.)

In 1969, you attended the meeting of the Palestine Liberation Organization in which the PLO resolved that its ultimate aim was the extinction of Israel -- that is to say, the extinction or expulsion of the Jews of Israel. Seven years later, Revolutionary Cells terrorists led by your Frankfurt colleague, Wilfried Boese, hijacked an Air France plane to Entebbe, Uganda.

France accused of oil-for-peace deal with Iraq

"What's distinctive about the Total contract is that it's not favourable to Iraq, it's favourable to Total," Mr Perle, the chairman of the Pentagon's Defence Policy Board, said during an address in New York.

"One can suspect that there's some arbitrage there, that in between the real value of that contract and the cash value of that contract there's a certain amount of political support.

Profile: Gerhard Schroeder

In 1978, he was also elected chairman of Germany's young socialists.

The young Schroeder was a Marxist and environmentalist. In the early 1970s he idolised SPD chancellor Willy Brandt, whose Ostpolitik promised better relations with communist Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union.

But somewhere along the line the idealist also developed a taste for smart suits, cashmere sweaters and big cigars - and an ever-present, slightly roguish grin.

Rawanda tragedy, French guilt, conniving, and cabals

The behaviour of the French was worse than that of the Belgians. Eager to become the pivotal power in the Great Lakes region, they aided and abetted the massacres at every turn. The Akazu death squads had received military training from the French; Hutu extremists were always assured of a warm welcome in Paris and the flow of French arms to the Hutus continued throughout the genocide. Whenever the Tutsis regrouped sufficiently to threaten Hutu power, France mounted a discreet military intervention to save its friends.

..More reprehensible by far than anything Clinton did or didn't do in Rwanda was what Mitterrand did. It is no surprise that his son, Jean-Christophe Mitterrand, who ran the Elysee's Africa policy, has now been accused of taking his cut as he kept arms flowing into Rwanda.

..Yet a third African occupied a key position: Kofi Annan, under-secretary-general and head of the UN department of peacekeeping operations. When Dallaire cabled Annan to tell him that secret weapons dumps were being set up, Annan quickly forbade any reconnaissance or arms inspection by UNAMIR.

>>I could go on but I will leave off with one more thought.

We are 100% FN wrong.
It is no wonder 3/4 of the world thinks we have our heads up our arrogant asses.

Thanks very much. I am happy to return the favor, so I will leave off with one more thought as well, for those on this thread who think that the European approach should recommend itself to us: the words of one of my favorite damned Yankees, in reference to American expatriots living in France in 1869:

"It is not pleasant to see an American thrusting his nationality forward obtrusively in a foreign land, but Oh, it is pitiable to see him making of himself a thing that is neither male nor female, neither fish, flesh, nor fowl -- a poor, miserable, hermaphrodite Frenchman!"

Mark Twain, "The Innocents Abroad"
