Americans who oppose a U.S. strike on Iraq appear to be in the minority. An NBC News survey of 514 randomly selected Americans released last week found that 60 percent supported U.S. military action to disarm Saddam Hussein, while 27 percent opposed such action.
These findings were consistent with a recent Washington Post/ABC News survey of 855 randomly selected adults that found that 66 percent supported military action against Iraq, while 31 percent opposed it.
