Technically, you're correct. Powell, himself, didn't plagerize. And I'm sorry if in some of my writing I gave that impression, although I don't think I ever directly attributed this to him. If I did so, I did so mistakenly.

But, still, there's the key question: Where does the buck stop on this one? Indeed, Powell had a special responsibility, in that kind of a forum, on that kind of a subject, with so much hanging in the balance (lives), to present completely accurate and true information, particularly when he was passing same off as "intelligence."

Sadly, although brilliantly presented, he didn't fare much better on the other aspects of his presentation. Was some of that also conjured or prepared by someone else? If so, who? Introspectively, I'm sure Powells feels deeply disappointed. You do know he'll have to soon resign, as quickly as he is able to find a way to distance himself from the hold of the Bush cabal.

Brumar, tell me sincerely. Are you getting a feeling that this war isn't all that it's been cracked up to be?

And on a side note, please know I appreciate your contributions to this thread. Yours are among the very best in support of the position you've taken and you present them in such a well-mannered way. My compliments to you.
