Bottomline is nobody knows what the S&P EPS model really looks like. There are so many variables that could change the mean estimate by $5-10 either way how can one construct a normalized earning model? I believe the smart money already has reconciled themselves to the fact that the "real" model is on the light side hence the lack of strength in the market. Until we see the S&P in the 600's we're not even close to the needed regression from stratospheric valuation levels.
