THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 29, 1997--Xircom, Inc., the leader in communications solutions for mobile computing professionals, today announced a joint marketing program offering a free CreditCard Ethernet 10/100+Modem 56 to customers who purchase qualifying remote access equipment from Ascend Communications, Bay Networks or Cisco Systems. The offer is valid in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

Xircom's industry-first CreditCard Ethernet 10/100+Modem 56 combines a 10/100Mbps Ethernet adapter and 56K modem in a single PC Card. It provides seamless operation on both 10Mbps and 100Mbps Ethernet networks, as well as modem speeds up to 56Kbps(a).
To assure standards-based compatibility, the product incorporates 4 megabits of flash ROM to ensure upgradability to the future 56K ITU standard once it is ratified. A GlobalACCESS(TM) product, this innovative new PC Card offers unique enhancements for world travelers, including international approvals and Country Select(TM) software, which simplifies modem set-up when traveling from country to country.
