It appears that you have not studied the nature and extent of the oil interests at stake, particularly those of the French and Russians, and that you are unable to comment factually on the size of the interests involved, which are huge. You probably have not looked at the terms said to have been offered to the French and cannot comment factually on the sanctions regime. You have essentially admitted to being clueless on these points. Nevertheless, you don't "think" that oil is a deciding factor, which is admirably honest given your admitted lack of information.

Let me suggest to you that there is a lot of information available on the point. If you wish to make your opinion valuable, it would behoove you to take a look at it.
