Even when the bad guys control the turf, you can do SOMETHING. You don't have to become a witness. Just make it that much harder for people to do the wrong thing.

My brother has always been extreme and actually ran down and tackled various people. He's running down the street yelling, "Call the police! I'm chasing a purse snatcher at 4th and Main. Call the police, I'm chasing a purse snatcher at 5th and Main. Call the police, I'm chasing a purse snatcher at 5th and Evergreen!"

After 5 minutes, cops were coming from all directions. They told him their whole board lit up like an Xmas tree and that it was really easy to make the collar.

My whole natural systems theory is based upon the notion that the RIGHT thing to do can be the EASY thing to do. Heck, it's even kind of exciting to have helped to stop an armed robber but, I didn't feel any undue risk doing it. With the advent of the cell phone, it is downright easy and SAFE.
