I sort of agree with David here. Any violence that occurs as a result of attacking Iraq would be by people who are a ticking time bomb anyway, and it's better to draw them out sooner, rather than later.

Besides, why refrain from doing the right thing just because it pisses the people who believe in doing the wrong thing off?

The thing that will bring the anti-American sentiment under control will be to stop the leaders who are anti-American from spewing their false venom, which their people eagerly lap up because they don't know any better. The Iraqi people in Iraq really do support Saddam, but they do so because all they know is what he tells them, and he fills them with lies about how evil the U.S. is.
